PMC Overview An efficient way for investors to diversify their investment in precious metals. Like Neptune’s Gold and Silver Vault Accounts, the Precious Metals Composite is backed 100% by physical precious metals stored in an insured depository. As with Neptune’s gold and silver Vault Accounts, the holders of PMC Ounces retain the option to take delivery of their precious metals.^
PMC Ounce Objective Seeks to capture and combine the value associated with each metal’s time tested appeal as a store of wealth, inflation/currency hedge, and unique industrial application.
Composition of the PMC Ounce*Each PMC Ounce represents direct ownership in three precious metals combined to represent a single ounce unit. The fixed fractional ounce quantity of each metal that comprise the PMC Ounce are: gold 11.5%, silver 87% and platinum 1.5%. (Figure 1).
Per Dollar Investment allocation and valuation - While the physical composition of each PMC Ounce remains constant, the per dollar purchase allocation, and the PMC Ounce’s ongoing valuation, is reflective of the changing value of each metal. Buy and sell prices quoted for the PMC Ounce are based on each metals real-time market price.
Following is an example of the PMC Ounce’s valuation in relation to its composition. While gold constitutes a smaller volume percentage of the PMC Ounce (Figure 1), gold’s greater market value makes it a larger percentage of the investment. An illustration of how the value of the PMC Ounce reflects market price changes for each of the precious metals that comprise the asset is shown in figures 2 & 3.
